Meet the Teacher, Mother, and Artisan Behind MorKuzuNY

Hi, I’m Natallia.

I am an elementary school teacher, a mother of two, and the creator behind MorKuzuNY. For me, these three roles are impossible to separate—they are the exact reason this shop exists.

Designed by an Educator, Inspired by the Classroom

After years of teaching in the classroom, one fundamental truth became impossible to ignore: children don’t learn in spite of play; they learn through it.

This realization is the heartbeat of Montessori and Waldorf education—the proven idea that small hands touching real, beautiful, and purposeful objects build cognitive understanding that no worksheet can ever replicate. Important developmental skills like sorting, counting, sequencing, and imaginative storytelling don't start at a desk. They start on the floor, with high-quality materials worth playing with.

Over 30 Years of Passion and Craftsmanship

My journey as a maker began long before I entered the classroom. Sewing has been my deepest hobby and passion since I was 10 years old. 20 years ago, I moved to the historic, vibrant city of Istanbul, where I continued to hone my textile craft.

When my own children were born, my professional background and my love for sewing naturally merged. I began designing and hand-stitching educational toys, clothes, and playful items for my children and their friends. Seeing how these toys sparked their creativity inspired me to share them with families all over the world.
